In February (2002) I had an experience of a lifetime-an opportunity to discover in person - Cuba. Along with 30 other great folks, the EMP Museum (Chris & Beck and team) took us along with percussionist Michael Spiro to several cities and small towns on "Fidel's Island". We had an incredible itinerary full of art, history, everyday people and of course music.

Experiencing the music and the place of origin for many of the instruments I play was educational and rewarding.
